Drawings are held at Sit-N-Bull Saloon every Thursday at 7 PM - 614 Gould Street, Beecher, IL
The Queen of Hearts “board” is purchased from an outside vendor. The board contains a standard deck of 52 regular playing cards and two “Jokers”. The cards are face down on the board and the entire board is sealed with a heavy plastic. The front of the cards can NOT be seen until they are “cut” away from the plastic seal. The back of the cards are numbered from 1 to 54. The board is then placed inside a locked display cabinet and the cabinet is only opened to choose a number on game day OR to replace a game board that has ended.
Because the sealed board is purchased from an outside vendor, NO ONE (including Lions Club members) knows the location of the Queen of Heats on the board.
The drawing is every Thursday at 7 PM at Sit-N-Bull Saloon, located at 614 Gould Street, Beecher, IL.
All tickets are $1.00 each, 6 for $5.00, 30 for $20 with no limit on the number of tickets that may be purchased by a player. Tickets may ONLY be purchased at Sit-N-Bull Saloon during normal business hours prior to the weekly drawing (7pm Thursdays) and any time after each following weekly drawing until the next drawing (Beecher Lions Club reserves the right to stop sales up to 30 minutes prior to any drawing to ensure drawing happens on time).
Each player must write their phone number and first and last name (as they appear on the player's government issued ID) on their ticket(s). There may only be one player's name placed on each ticket. The player will then place their ticket(s) in the raffle ticket drum. Players may write a card number on the back of their ticket(s). If the player is not present and their ticket is chosen, the card having the number written on the ticket will be drawn for the player. If there is no number written on the ticket or if the card listed is not available, then the lowest numbered available card will be drawn on behalf of the absent player.
A player whose ticket has been chosen and is present at the drawing will chose one card from the board. If the card drawn is the QUEEN OF HEARTS, the player will win 75% of the jackpot. If the player is not present, a card will be drawn for them. If the QUEEN OF HEARTS is drawn for an absent player, they will receive 60% of the Jackpot. If the winning player is present or not, the remaining 5% of the jackpot (up to $5,000) will be contributed to the next game, so long as another game is scheduled to follow. The amount left in the Jackpot (after the award to the winner and after any amount placed in the Jackpot for the next game) will be awarded to Beecher Lions Club, the sponsor of the game and a non-profit organization in Beecher, IL.
If the QUEEN OF HEARTS is not drawn on a particular week, there are five consolation prizes. If one of the jokers is drawn, the player will receive $250, and the board will reset. After the board resets, the new board will NOT reset if the second joker is drawn on the second board. If one of the #7’s of any suit is drawn, the winning player will receive $100. All other cards have a payout of $20 paid out as 30 free tickets. Players must be present to win a consolation prize.
After each weekly drawing, ALL tickets sold for that drawing are discarded and the raffle starts again for the following week.
